Autorobot Finland has developed a new straightening bench for the new, strong cars. The straightening bench has a hydraulic straightening table with a pulling tower that operates with new pull/push technique. The most significant advantages of the hydraulic straightening table are the quick adjustment of the chassis fasteners lengthwise, hydraulic transfer of the straightening tower to the target and extending the straightening table so that the same double acting cylinder will work in straightening after the bench has been adjusted. The new pull/push technique speeds up the straightening process and provides a possibility to repair the strong body structures economically.

The new chain fastener clamps the monocoque frame section, and
presses it slightly inwards (Picture A, Point 3).
With the traditional frame type vehicles a chain is fastened additionally
around the frame beam to support the clamp (Picture B). The special feature
of this new equipment is that it enables a grip of the car body by
tightening the screw 1 (Picture B, Point 2) while the same movement
simultaneously tightens the chain (4) around the frame structure.
The chain fastener is installed to the basic Starblock arm (5) where the
height can be adjusted with spacers (6) for different car bodies.

Autorobot StarPull straightening set is a combination of modern accessories that has been planned for the new vehicle structures. The straightening arm, which can be adjusted 360°, forms the base for the system. The arm turns around enabling ideal pulling directions. Depending on the repair situation, the user can choose from a range of accessories for the straightening arm, like the various specially designed fasteners for the McPherson upper end, equipment for the control arm mounting lugs, straightening angle for the box sections and casings, and a large aluminum plate for pulling the vehicle pillars made of high strength steel or aluminum.
