Autorobot Finland Oy has developed a new method for straightening minor collision damage. The support beams, designed for collision repair systems, consist of a long horizontal support beam (A), capable of supporting even heavy electric vehicles combined with a vertical support beam (B). This is fitted with rubber pads (C) that holds the vehicle securely on the straightening bench during longitudinal pulls.
When the straightening needs to be applied upwards or sideways, a fastening clamp (D) is attached to the vertical support beam (B), allowing mounting of the vertical pinch weld of the vehicle A-pillar, which is one of the vehicle’s strong points. This new method speeds up the bench fastening process, especially for vehicles lacking a pinch weld in the rocker panel. The new support beam system is compatible with all Autorobot benches.
